gift of sight

We are also doing weekly rural outreach camps to identify individuals suffering from cataract, glaucoma & other eye ailments to provide medical and surgical treatment free of cost.

The program has been initiated to cater to the large no. of visually handicapped people living in economically & socially backward areas of the region. More often than not visual handicap is completely or partially curable. It is up to us reach out to these less privileged people & make their lives better with this GIFT OF SIGHT.

District blindness control society & individual as well as institutional donors support the program. The program treats the patients with surgically curable blindness.


A target rural population of 100000 is selected for a screening camp. The target population is selected on the basis of door to door survey conducted by our trained paramedical staff. All the people attending the camp are screened for any eye ailment with a special emphasis on the person already selected by our field workers. Those requiring medical treatment are provided with free medicines and rest is taken to the base hospital at Bareilly for further investigation and surgical management free of cost.

Patients brought to the base hospital are provide with free accommodation, investigation, surgery intra ocular lens implantation post operative medicines & tea, breakfast to the all patients.

school screening

Blindness and severe visual impairment have for reaching social, economic and personal implications. When it occurs in children it poses serious barriers to the development of the child at a formative stage.

The program is aimed at identifying and curing the children at a very young age and giving them a bright future.

The children having defective vision will be referred to the base hospital where they shall be investigated and treated systematically free of cost.

With the increasing costs of medical care, the economically challenged persons living in the cities and urban areas do not access to expensive & latest medical technology.

With the aim of giving the right of best possible treatment even to the poorest of poor, free consultation and comprehensive eye examination including refraction with the latest equipment is taken up the base hospital every Sunday.
